Poor Customer Service

The first reviewer, Craig Ambacher, rated Avista with 1 star, citing poor customer service. He scheduled an appointment on May 14th, but there was no confirmation call or text. He waited the whole time without any contact, and by 2 pm, he had to fire them. He mentioned that they would have been on time if they had called with an estimated arrival time.

Substandard Work

Heather Rider, another 1-star reviewer, shared a story of substandard work. After installing a new furnace and AC unit, they discovered that the furnace was undersized and running almost 24/7 to keep up. The AC unit was also not running efficiently. The county inspector never signed off on the permit, indicating that the units were not up to code. The company failed the final inspection, and the homeowners had to hire another company to redo the work.

The company changed their warranty coverage policy, informing him that the warranty was only with the original home builder. They made repeated errors and took multiple visits to correct them. When he contacted the Better Business Bureau, the company did not respond.
