Our History
Our story began in 1974 when John Pleune started the company with a mission to provide exceptional service to the commercial and industrial markets of West Michigan. His strategy was simple: provide quality service, and the business would grow. And grow it did. Within five years, we had 37 employees, and our commitment to high standards and exceptional service metrics continued to drive our growth.
In 1988, we took a significant step forward by forming an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), selling 30% of our stock to the ESOP. This move solidified our commitment to our employees and our customers, ensuring that every owner believes in treating customers with integrity and respect, providing quality workmanship, and delivering outstanding customer service.

Our fleet of highly-trained installation crews and EPA-Certified HVAC technicians are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We cover a majority of the Lower Peninsula, and our service technicians and installation crews are strategically located throughout the state for quick response.

Excellent Customer Service
The majority of customers have praised Pleune Service Company for their exceptional customer service. Kaleb, a technician, was particularly commended for his professionalism, friendliness, and knowledge. Negative Experiences
However, not all customers had a positive experience. Steve Dilts was disappointed with the behavior of one employee, who allegedly drove recklessly in school zones. Ken Fortier was frustrated with the quoting and client follow-up process, which led to a delay in repairing his commercial A/C unit.
Areas for Improvement
Some areas for improvement include the need for better training for staff responsible for quoting and client follow-up, as well as addressing employee behavior issues.
