Venting Methods

One of the key features that sets us apart is our expertise in venting methods. We understand that every home is unique, which is why we offer a range of venting options to suit your needs. Our Direct-Vent system uses two vent pipes, one for drawing in fresh air and the other for exhausting combustion by-products. Our Vent-Free system, on the other hand, uses room air for combustion and delivers 99.9% of the available heat energy directly to the room. Meanwhile, our B-Vent system takes in room air to support combustion and exhausts combustion by-products through a single vent pipe.

Advantages

Each of our venting methods offers its own advantages. Our Direct-Vent systems are known for their good efficiency, ranging from 60 to 80%. They're also good at delivering heat output, thanks to thermal transfer through the glass and air circulation. Our Vent-Free systems, on the other hand, offer unmatched efficiency, with 99.9% of the available heat energy delivered directly to the room. B-Vent systems, meanwhile, are ideal for replacing wood stoves or oil burners, and offer the ambiance of a fireplace without overheating your rooms.

How to Purchase

When it comes to purchasing our products, we encourage you to buy from your local dealer. Not only do they have the product knowledge, but they're also qualified to install and service our products. In fact, Empire will not warrant certain products unless they're installed by the selling dealer or their direct contract agents. These products include all Direct-Vent fireplaces, inserts, and stoves, as well as our B-Vent fireplaces and Ultra-Saver high-efficiency heating products.
